The Danish Design Exchange Difference

We oil the teak frames

Usually three times, with ample time in between applications for proper drying. Our items don't have the sticky feel, they are dry and amazingly smooth to the touch.

We dedicate 6 to 8 hours to a typical chair

That is our attitude to quality, and Danish Design.

We get rid of the old foams

Old foams, sometimes covered in cotton batting, have, or eventually will disintegrate into powder.

We replace them with high quality new foams and new polyester batting.

We clean the wood frames

After anywhere between 30 to even 50 years, the wood just needs some cleaning. We lightly dry or wet sand most of the time teak wood, often three or more times to achieve desired smoothness.

We get rid of the old fabrics

Fabrics might LOOK fine, even feel good, but they just have to go. We wear protective gloves and goggles when we remove them, as soon as we receive fabric covered items.

We tighten the loose joints

We always use Gorilla Glue to make loose joints  tight again. We always clean up the old glue to ensure close fit. The new joints don't show glue run-offs.
